PRESS RELEASE
DES OP - Animal Rescue Station Plzeň
Over the last two weeks I have over 500 photos on my computer from various events that I would like to show you. The number of calls and interventions still runs into the dozens every day, and the interesting interventions would fill several press releases.
But let me give priority today to the report from Sunday's event, even though most of you may say that it is not that interesting from the point of view of nature conservation. However, the opposite is true and an event like this is also very important for us and for nature conservation.
The legacy of Professor Ondřej Hes is still alive!
Over twenty participants of the international meeting of leading medical pathologists and medical capacities from all over the world gathered on Sunday (15 June 2025) around noon at the monument of Professor Ondrej Hes in Hoštka, Tachov region.
The tour of the private nature reserve and the valley floodplain of the Kateřinský brook was part of the international meeting of professors and leading medical experts in Pilsen, which is organized these days by the Bioptics Laboratory Pilsen, whose founder and owner is Professor Michal Michal. He is also the chairman of the Eden Foundation, for which we organized the event.

After arriving at the site, we presented the participants with a brand new and perfect video clip from ACT Media, dedicated to the legacy of Professor Ondřej Hes and his philosophy of life, wisdom and love of nature.

The emotions didn't wait long and the participants can watch the English and Czech version of the video clip together with other materials on a specially made bookmark with QR codes whenever they want.

This was followed by a short walk along the valley floodplain of the Kateřinský brook to the first beaver lodge, including a demonstration of some illustrative teaching aids, real beaver dams and residence tracks.
I did not only enjoy my role as a guide this time and I am happy to say that it turned out that pathologists and doctors are in most cases biologists and people who know that wild nature is the basis of everything, appreciate it and know how to respect it!
At the end of the excursion, some of the participants took the opportunity to leave their personal "message" to Professor Hes on the pebbles prepared for this purpose. These are to form a colourful mosaic in the future, which will be part of this memorial site bearing the legacy of Professor Ondřej Hes.

All in all, it was quite a challenging event for all involved in the Sunday heat and mugginess. On the other hand, thanks to NF Eden, DES OP and the "bookmark with QR codes", Ondra's legacy and philosophy of life will reach the USA, Japan, Mexico, Italy, Turkey and Singapore, as they were all there today.
In conclusion, thank you to all involved and especially to the DES OP and NF Eden team for a perfect and professional job done on this joint project. Thank you.
